Pose Through
Pose Through is an activity-based, motion-sensing interactive game that encourages movement and working together. Inspired by a Japanese TV game show, this game makes the player go through a variety of obstacles, by making the player move around the space and pose for specific obstacles to get through them. Either by yourself or by working with another (up to 4), the player must survive the incoming barrage of the global landscape themed obstacles. The player must duck, roll and hold positions to successfully pass through the obstacles and survive.
The game was developed using Unity, my role for this game was as a developer and game designer, helping with the programming and designing the mechanics around the game; the game uses the kinect to detect the position and pose of the player as the core for its mechanics, as well as we developed it hands free so it will run, pause restart depending on your position in the space. The longer you survive in the game, the harder it gets. Developed for the Children’s play area for the Cardinia Cultural Centre.
